Dear Atlanta Lacrosse League Members,
We hope this message finds you well. We have several league updates to share as we get closer to the start of our summer season.
First, we are moving our opening day to Sunday, June 7. As many of you know, our target launch date each year is typically the first weekend in June. We were hopeful that we could start on May 31, but the City still has a few programming items to wrap up for field space. We also want to make sure we have enough time to build balanced rosters while accounting for goalies, friend requests, family requests, and overall team structure.
For now, please circle Sunday, June 7 on your calendar as our official opening day.
Current Schedule Framework
- Boys High School League: Games will be played at 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM every Sunday.
- Men’s League: Games will be played between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM every Sunday.
- Girls High School and Women’s Leagues: We are still finalizing the exact time slots, but games will be played on Sundays at Hammond Park.
TeamSnap and Roster Updates
If you are looking in TeamSnap, many players will currently show as being on a “not yet rostered” team. Starting this week, we will begin building out rosters, placing goalies, grouping friends and family where possible, and getting everything organized for the first games.
We currently have holding times set for opening day, and we expect to have team schedules published by the end of the week.
For the Boys High School League, rosters should be fairly firm by the end of this week. For the Men’s League, we will continue making adjustments as additional players register leading up to opening day. As always, we want to keep teams as balanced as possible, so please do not bank on your current team assignment just yet.
Girls High School and Women’s League rosters will also be framed out this week.
