About us
Our Misson
The Atlanta Lacrosse League wants to grow the game of Lacrosse in the great Atlanta area. The A.L.L. wants to offer a league platform that allows kids and adults of all ages to play lacrosse. We want to offer an easy, fun, and quality Lacrosse league to everyone who wants to play. Simply put, we want to grow the game for any many people as possible.
How we came to be
The story starts in April 2015 when DoubleStixx Lacrosse announced they were shutting down operations, which would end organized Men's Lacrosse in Atlanta. That summer, there was no organized Adult Lacrosse in Atlanta, and everyone was trying to find ways to keep playing.
In February 2016, Shaun & Kevin Lux were waiting to see if anyone would emerge to start a new Men's Lacrosse League in Atlanta. February came and went, and on March 1st, 2016, while watching a Syracuse basketball game, we decided we would do everything we could to form a league. Our goal that night was to have four teams and play our first game on June 5th, 2016. That left us only eight weeks to secure a field, get insurance, order jerseys, build a website and recruit 88 guys from Atlanta to play Lacrosse.
Our goal was four teams and 88 players. On June 5th, 2016, Week 1 of the Atlanta Lacrosse League featured six teams with 136 players.
